Scottish Enterprise PhD Industrial Studentships : University of Glasgow, CXR
Biosciences and Cyclacel
Two PhD Industrial Studentships are being held at the University of Glasgow,
funded by Scottish Enterprise through
their
Biotechnology programme.
These studentships are being undertaken in collaboration with the
Department of Trade and Industry funded
BPS project, which is
part of the
Beacon scheme.
The student projects are:

"Biochemical Network Data Mined from Scientific Texts",
undertaken by Ms Tamara Polajnar, with
David Gilbert
(Bioinformatics Research Centre) as academic
supervisor, and
MD Biosciences
as the industrial host.

"Targetted Manipulation of Signal Transduction Pathways based on In Silico
Modelling",
undertaken by Ms Amelie Gourmand,
with Walter Kolch
(Faculty of Biomedical and Life Sciences) as
academic supervisor, and
Cyclacel as the industrial host.
